Maintenance Manager

My Objective:

With professional expertise and practices gained over a period of 18 years, I wish to apply for the vacancy of a Factory Manager in a manufacturing organization, where I will be given sufficient exposure to deal with the management of factory activities, and would be accountable for creation and development of a healthy and safe atmosphere.

WHAT I AM

As a factory manager I hire, train and evaluates factory workers, who primarily work on production lines or at stations. I also analyze production data and write reports that summarize factory output for use by managers and executives at the corporate level.

As a Factory managerI also find ways to increase efficiency by researching production methods and ascertaining which machines are needed to meet their production goals.

Another key function of mine is to oversee the safety of all workers, enforcing the use of protective gear. In addition, as a factory manager I ensure that all production procedures -- lifting, assembling and using hazardous materials -- comply with the federal regulations instituted by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration. I reported to the Top Management – The Managing Director

Duties and Responsibilities

Planning production meetings, worker schedules, production activities, machine maintenance plans and maintaining product quality and budgets.

Planning, formulating, organizing, controlling, and directing production activities.

Observing the effective maintenance of safety rules and standards in the division by the workers.

Managing time-lines and work priorities and allocating resources to meet the assigned factory time-lines and goals.

Ensuring that the product effectively satisfies the quality level ordered by the client.

Ensuring the effectual adopting of new programs and policies and providing training in order to meet improved requirements ordered by clients.

Executing factory manufacturing strategic plan and aligning it with general plant strategy.

Supervising quality standards and enforcing quality-control programs.

Collaborating with sales agents, vendors and financial division to ensure the successful run of receiving and shipping schedule.

Collaborating with other factory managers to find best practices and the best solution.

Working with contract clients on matters concerned to their product starting from release to final shipment.

Reviewing the overall performance and identifying training necessities of production personnel.

Carrying out analysis and evaluation of the raw materials with respect to production functions in terms of quantity and monetary value

Building an effective relationship between cost and output, to ascertain per unit cost and profitability

Establishing effective measures for scientific reduction of cost and development cost control techniques

Overseeing factory activities and processes, to ensure health and safety management

Relating costs with production output, to ascertain increased profitability

Evaluating the maintenance needs of the plant

Examining the condition of existing machinery and deciding whether new equipment is necessary

Planning and scheduling maintenance of plant machinery

Overseeing the work of maintenance technicians and workers

Ensuring that safety standards are maintained in the plant

Ensuring that maintenance works is done with quality in mind

Making decisions regarding hiring new staff

Formulating maintenance manuals for the benefit of workers and maintenance technicians

Training maintenance staff in new methods of maintenance and safe maintenance practices

Allocating tasks to workers as per schedule

Making maintenance budgets

Recommending new machinery when required

Spotting and solving problems in equipment
