Hired to Consult a Division of a large parent company interested in their own Construction Department. Duties require everything from scheduling, projects controls, project management, procurement, building work, plans, P&L, cost budgeting, land development, overall building of the division, Safety, Continuous Improvement and many more detailed relative tasks.

Kiewit 2014 – 2015

Procurement Specialist – Houston, TX.

• Hired in the Kiewit’s Procurement Energy and Power Sector to increase efficiency, to supplement the purchasing needs of the site, leverage pricing with contractors, provide support for accounts payable. Ultimately, projects spend “more time building, less time buying” through the use of professional and time-tested procedures.

• Large Estimate Work in four Power Projects ranging from $500 thousand to $5 billion including minor substation jobs. Creating RFP’s, QCS’s (Quote Comparison Sheets), QCS reviews and other relevant duties.

• Assistant Construction Manager for a large Oil and Gas contractor, attending school full-time and in charge of working in parallel with the Project Managers in the day to day activities of a particular project. Duties ranged from reviewing plans, deliverables, construction processes, and safety. Working closely with personnel, accounting, and procurement, QA / QC, estimating and business development departments of our Division.

• Accomplished positive results with three Refinery expansion projects exceeding $40 million. Translating and reviewing all engineering deliverables.

• In charge of a Lesson’s Learned PowerPoint presentation to the CEO and other Executives regarding a $35 million project prior to my hiring, in which there were substantial issues. Verbally recognized by the CEO, thanking me personally for the presentation success and the critical findings.
