Course Projects and Experience

Senior Design Project: In this project, we are able to use accelerometers, Arduino Uno, and capacitive sensors to design a hand glove interface with capabilities of interacting with computers by detecting hand movements and perform all tasks executed by a computer mouse i.e. function as a pointer, go backwards/forwards, scroll up/down, etc.

RF Power Amplifier Circuit Design

oDesign RF power amplifier with lumped and distributive elements in AWR Microwave Office.

Analog Filter Design and Testing

oDesigned low pass, high pass, band pass, equal ripple, AM/FM modulating & demodulating filters.

Sequential FSM (Finite State Machine)

oDesigned a Verilog synchronous FSM using a 4-bit register, 4x1 MUX, freeze, reset, and load; cycled through states and displayed output and carry over values on a Xilinx Spartan Basis FPGA board.

4 Bit Mini-CPU Design

oDesigned CPU using digital logic gates in Logic Works could add, subtract, AND, and OR numbers.

Robot Design

oBuilt and code robots to perform various functions specified by professor

Controlling Digital Outputs/Inputs on Arduino

oBuild a LED circuit using resistors, jumper cables and LEDs on a breadboard, connect it with the digital outputs of an Arduino and program it to toggle each LED at a time with a 500ms delay.

oBuild a circuit using a switch and a resistor on a breadboard, connect it with digital inputs of an Arduino and display 0s and 1s using serial monitor when press the switch.

oAlso, how to combine the use of digital input and output pins of an Arduino to build a circuit to blink each LED in a loop. In addition, to stop the LED at the exact moment when pressing a switch.

Building a Voltage Meter

oUsing the analog pins on the Arduino to build a voltage divider circuit by connecting a resistor and a potentiometer to output a desirable voltage when the potentiometer is adjusted.
