oCorporate Financial Business Systems Owner (Finance / Treasury / IT) for the largest Municipal PS Treasury / AP Operation in Canada with annual cheque, EFT, and EDI, remittances exceeding $1.1B annually to 900 Vendors, on behalf of three (3) separate Civic Corporations;

oData and Document ECM management to comply with all COE Legal and Financial requirements;

o Fiduciary responsibility for all payments, P&L ownership, and external & internal audit & control responsibility for all Municipal Purchasing & Inventory expenditures & processes as per the MGA.

Required/Related SAP/ERP Project(s)

oServed as Corporate Financial System Project Manager through all Project Phases for the initial SAP R/3 Implementation for @ 5500 End-users and 17 Departments;

oSuccessfully implemented the first municipal CPPC (corporate payment & procurement card ) program in Canada with TD Bank;

oSuccessfully designed, tested, and implemented COINS (Common Inventory Control System) data integration with Corporate Treasury;

oSuccessfully designed, tested, and implemented SC & Financial EDI, AP Image Workflow & Document Retrieval system

Managed a staff of 30 Finance andsupported by the IT technical team engaged in the maintenance and enhancement of the UNYSYS Mainframe Application required to support a number of disparate, financial systems; ($1.1B / yr. payments);

Implemented SAP R/3 Release 2.2 for Finance (FI), Controlling (CO), Materials Management (MM Purchasing & Inventory), Basis, and Enterprise system reporting. Deloitte’s P-Plus ERP implementation methodology was utilized for this project. The City of Edmonton’s SAP implementation was one of the largest SAP public sector Business & Technical transition & implementations in North America installing a replacement corporate financial system for 17 Civic departments, 3 City –Owned Utilities
