Drilling Fine motor skills
Tapping and milling Mathematical aptitude
Vertical boring machine Problem solving
operation Expertise in de-burring
Thread and plug gauges Do my own programming
Great understanding of Handling of big parts
conversational controls
Efficiently machined small and large parts to tolerances of .0005 or less. Started
off on a very small mill 5 years ago, and today I run the biggest vertical mill that
we have in our shop. Excellent with trig and writing my own programs using a
conversational control, this includes all types of 3D milling.
Machinist
Turn Tech Inc. - Pinehurst, TX
Selected appropriate speeds and feeds according to type of metal and finish
specifications.Gauged and maintained tolerances on grinding diameters,
depths, squareness and parallelism. Basically, in 5 short years I went from not
knowing anything about how to set up and run a mill, muchless feeds and
speeds for different metals and tools, to running parts that are car size. All
of this while holding tight tolerances and appropriate finishes, according to the
print.
Machinist
Houston Precision Process - Houston, TX
Measured and marked dimensions and reference points accurately. This was
my first CNC machinist job and I was running lathes with fanuc control. This
company was very basic in the machining they did, strickly prepping parts to on
size length and O.D, while chamfering or putting a radius on sides as called by
the print. Very basic stuff here but it was a great stepping stone to get my
feet wet
Machinist
WH Labs - Houston, TX
Executed bench, machine and hand tool work in shaping, fitting, and
assembling machine parts from metal stock. This was my first machining job
and it was a test lab. I would cut a sample piece out of the customers
provided material, and make charpys and/or tensiles. We then would break
the piece I machined to test the strength and durability of the metal. I ran
manual lathe, horizontal mill, saws and a surface grinder at this job.
