Dr. Hugh Davis is an IBM Senior Technical Staff Member working for IBM's Global Technology Services as the Chief Architect for IBM’s Business Continuity and Resiliency Services Consulting Practice. He has an extensive background in network based security architectures and their integration into overall security architectures and policies as well as a background in network and systems management tools architectures as well. He is currently adapting the TMF NGOSS standard to manage geographically dispersed cloud architectures.
Dr. Hugh Davis has a Doctorate in Computer Science. His doctoral dissertation was written on a mathematical model and method to predict traffic load stability in the public Internet. Finally, Dr. Davis has led international teams and had global responsibilities for over ten years now so he is well versed in the intricacies of working on multinational projects using international teams while traveling through multiple time zones.

•Developed a risk analysis and mitigation methodology that works holistically with a resilient enterprise IT architecture. Applied it to a major commercial bank and a global manufacturing firm, both in Europe.
•Performed a Basel II risk assessment of a global banking organization and the subsequent cost-benefit analysis to determine the course of action (mitigation, acceptance with increased ECB depository requirements, or transference) to be taken with several identified major risks.

(RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO), as compared to DR.
