PRESS TENDER- Responsible for helping the 1st and 2nd feeders, and pressman on the press ie: helping with make readies, washing blankets, keeping alcohol and water mixture in tanks, sweeping the floor.

2nd FEEDER- Moved from press tender to second feeder after three months.

Second feeder is responsible for helping learn how to feed the press ie: putting

the load onto the feed table and bring the load up, setting up the feed wheels

for sheet size, setting the cam for the drop guides and head stops on the feed

table, helping the first feeder stack off (bad) sheets onto another skid.

1st FEEDER- Moved from second feeder to first feeder after six months.

First feeder is responsible for the feeder ie: making sure the press stays running

by watching the sheet on the table, making sure that the sheet is guiding

correctly. Helping the pressman by putting ink in the fountains, and help by

putting plates on during make readies, making plate moves, keep the shop

towels stocked on the press and gas cans full.

2nd PRESSMAN-The second pressman’s job is similar to the first pressman’s job.

For each new job we begin the make ready which includes wash up on the press

For any new ink changes, or unit changes. Verify job ticket, proofs and samples

To plates. Once is all ok’d, we determine which ink goes into which unit.

After the inks are in the appropriate fountain, we plate up for the print run.

When print job is completed, we then close the job ticket out which includes
