Ambitiously be seeking position in a laboratory setting. Desires challenging career to expand my knowledge and skills in different aspects of the pharmaceutical and chemical industry and to build on the experience I have gained.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

Absorption spectra of conjugated dyes - Spring 2016:

●Using particle in a box to predict the maximum absorbance of conjugated dyes.

Isolation of Cholesterol - Fall 2015:

●Using saponification method, followed by azeotropic and column chromatography to extract cholesterol from an egg yolk. Then, H NMR was applied to confirm cholesterol.

Qualitative Organic Analysis - Fall 2015:

●Using classic functional group chemistry (melting point, boiling point, solubilities and refractive index) as well as modern spectroscopy (FTIR, H NMR) to probe the chemical/physical behaviors and structures of organic compounds.

Bomb calorimetry and Heat of combustion - Fall 2014:

●An enthalpy of a substance is calculated by measuring bomb calorimeter and heat of combustion of that substance.

Gravimetric analysis and Acid/Base titration - Fall 2014:

●The qualitative determination of an analyte based on the mass methodology and the quantitative of acid or base by acid/base titration.
