My first two years at Advantage were spent running the European shift on the
Global Execution Desk (GED). At the GED I helped traders manage overnight
risk. I executed directly into their accounts, worked orders and catered to
individual traders needs. I covered the shift alone and was the highest
revenue shift, it was normal to have tens of millions in positions on at once.
I moved to Sales in 2007 where I was responsible for helping expand Advantage
Futures client base and revenue. I found clients through cold calling and
networking, ultimately working largely through referrals. In addition to handling
existing client accounts I never brought in new account business that totaled
less than my yearly compensation through my leaving Advantage in 2015.
In late 2010 I was promoted to SVP and headed a 6 person team.
