This application was used for evaluating and managing the risks for catastrophes all over the world. The services also returned analysis results for a location which was required for accessing the risks for reinsurance. This is a three tier architecture and Windows based application that was developed in C#.Net that was used for catastrophic data modelling. The back end is SQL Server 2008. There were services written in WCF for communicating with third party vendor data. The Microsoft enterprise library was used for logging, caching and exception handling. There is also another Web application written in MVC (with C#) as front end with the WCF service as a middle tier and SQL Server 2008 as back end. This application was used to interact with the third party vendor systems to fetch catastrophic risk analysis data. The development was done in agile model.

There are also other .Net tools/applications developed for retrieving the data and images from the database and central image locations. The tool was used to create new users, grant access rights to the users, revoke rights from the users and delete users. It is also used to delete the terminated users from all of the databases. The tool also allowed synchronizing the passwords over all of the databases. Only the administrator had the right to perform the above functionalities. The general users were able to view the roles of the users in the various applications.

The tool was used to manage users of Lotus Notes and Active Directory. The tool allowed the user to register a new user in Lotus Notes and Active Directory, deleted the user from Lotus Notes and Active Directory and edited the details in the Active Directory user. The tool was also used to configure Lotus Notes mail servers, active directory home folders, Lotus Notes registration configuration settings and location details. The application was developed from scratch.
