Job Description:

Works alongside the patient's physicians, other nurses and dietician with the following responsibilities are:

Supervise and evaluate staff performance.

Handles duty schedule to be approved by Nursing Service Division Head.

Responsible in preparing and submitting monthly/yearly income reports of the unit to the Nursing Division Head.

Sees to it that all equipments are in good working condition.

Ensures availability of supplies in the unit and its documentation.

Handles patient’s concern and directs to physician head or Nursing Service Division Head if necessary.

Coordinates meeting with staff, consultants and head physician of the unit and other activities conducted by the hospital i.e. seminars, trainings.

Complying to hospital hygiene standards in the unit at all times.

Maintain good relationship between staff, physicians, patients and patient’s relatives.

Performs other related duties that may be assign from time to time.

Performs Comprehensive Diabetes Counseling for DM patients (in & out) and medical staff

of the same hospital.

Works as a ward nurse in the different ward of the hospital if needed eg. If there is under-staffing, increase in patient census and etc.

Job Description:

Works interdependently with doctors, co-nurses, medical technologists, pulmonary therapist and other health professionals with the following responsibilities:

Admission, transfer & discharge procedure.

Assessment of the patients problems & prepare nursing care plan.

Monitor vital sign, intake output records.

Assist the doctors for routine rounds.

Carry out doctor’s orders.

Insertion of Intravenous Therapy

Administration of oral, intramuscular & intravenous drugs & blood transfusion.

Assist various procedures

Provide health education to patients and family

Collection of laboratory specimen

Maintain records and reports

Good interpersonal relationship with patients, family and other medical practitioners

Performs Comprehensive Diabetes Counseling for DM patients (in & out) and medical staff
