Care Team Member- I participate in compliance packaging for patients; I complete all prior authorizations for the specialty medications, special care clients, and long term facility patients. I also fill and monitor the refill too soon que, verify all insulin prescriptions for the day supply and create short supplies in order to get medications to a patient while waiting for their compliance 30 day pack to be made. Gentry Health Services & Discount Drug Mart March 2015- April 2016 Patient Care Coordinator- Including retail pharmacy technician responsibilities listed under Discount Drug Mart on the specialty side I also located Copay assistance for commercial, Medicare and Medicaid patients. I placed refill calls for specialty medications, completed ‘Therigy assessments’ for patients both new and existing, managed the medication inventory, placed all drug orders, initiated and followed though until completion on Prior Authorizations. I interacted on ‘Live Chat’ assisting patients, communicated daily with patients from inbound calls, arranged for delivery of the specialty medications and documented all retail medication pick-ups in our system including payment.
