Lead and direct the HR department functions and overall HR strategy to support growth, for the Corporate Headquarters, Fresno Plant, Kentucky Plant, and nation wide sales force, while reporting directly to the President/COO. Lyons Magnus, Inc. manufactures and distributes fruit fillings, syrups, desert toppings, and beverages, while operating 24 hours a day, 5 - 7 days a week, with 1,000+ employees nationwide. Developed, implement, and administer all HR functions and HR budget enterprise wide in a fast paced environment. Manage all aspects of HR day-to-day operations including recruiting, a self-insured workers compensation and health insurance plan, discipline, safety, employee relations, and payroll, while managing four direct reports and three indirect reports, including the HR Manager at our Walton, KY manufacturing plant. • Instrumental in filling 150+ full-time positions including all levels (Coordinators, Managers, and Directors).

Lead and direct the HR department functions at the Fresno, CA manufacturing plant, while reporting directly to the Corporate HR Director, who’s office is at the Corporate Headquarters in Fairport, NY and reporting indirectly to the Fresno, CA – Plant Manager. LiDestri Food and Beverage, Inc. manufactures pasta sauce, salsas, dips, and drinks, while operating 24 hours a day, 5 - 7 days a week, with an average of 175 employees per week. Develop, implement, and administer all HR functions at the Fresno, CA manufacturing plant. Manage all aspects of HR day-to-day operations including recruiting, workers compensation administration, payroll, discipline, safety, security, and managing one direct report (HR Assistant). Key Contributions:
• Successfully pursued and implemented a more inexpensive Workers Compensation carrier for policy year 2007 and 2008.
• While managing Safety, 2006 OSHA recordable injuries rate dropped 75% compared to 2005. Safe recordable injury rate was maintained for 2007 and 2008.
• The Fresno plant is considered the role model for the corporate wide wellness program, which was rolled out in early 2006. Received Silver Award for Wellness program from the State of California.
• Able to successfully argue and win three out of four unemployment claims in front of California Unemployment Appeals Board and won six other unemployment decisions before it went to appeal.
• Was given the task to improve Site Security. Improved the Third Party Site Security Audit score by 110% from the August, 2006 audit to the December, 2006 audit. Excellent score for 2007 and 2008. QUALITY COLLEGE OF VOCATIONAL CAREERS, INC. – Fresno, CA 7/2001 – 7/2005 Human Resources Manager
Steered and directed multiple aspects of Human Resources for Quality College of Vocational Careers, Inc., a private post-secondary educational school, with 50 employees. Job Duties & Key Contributions:
• Designed new employee orientation package and established and facilitated all new employee activities and sessions, which provided (for the first time) continuity in all company and benefit information presented verbally and in writing.
