Work Experience
Freelance Web App Developer, American River International May 2016- Current
Currently developing a registration web app for American River Intl. App logs visiting client’s registration data including a visitor picture into a mySQL database. Web app also cross-references the data with a federal ‘black list’ of businesses using a third party web app using FTP. If a client is found in the database, the web app sends an email to a supervisor alerting them of the situation. The majority of the app logic is done in PHP as well as the alert mail. Front end is done using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and Ajax.
Java Developer Intern, Complete Discovery Source, New York City, June – August 2015
Designed and implemented a standalone program with the purpose of testing and comparing the performance of multiple machine learning classifying algorithms in parallel on the Hadoop Distributed File System in Java.
Program processes a selected subset text documents (emails, contracts..ect) from the client’s dataset and selects key features from the documents to use as the parameters. Using these features, the classifiers classify each document into predetermined target classes (relevant, not relevant). The predictions of each classifier algorithm are then compared to the actual class of the documents to test their performance in parallel. The best performing classifier is then returned to use on the client’s entire dataset.
Program was designed and implemented in agile development with daily and weekly requirement and integration testing.
Web Design and Social Media Intern, TCNJ Student Affairs, February 2016 – May 2016
Internship to design and implement the student and faculty conduct website for sexual violence. Website requirements were to create a user friendly website that could concisely and appropriately convey sensitive information to students and faculty around the topic of sexual violence. Website also had a tool where users could report a sexual assault incident. Website was built and maintained using Wordpress.
Projects Extra Curricular
C++ Dynamic Memory Management Project Spring 2015
Developed module to perform calculations on large matrices and complex numbers. Using Matrix objects and operator overloading, the user can input, output, copy by value, add, and multiply two matrix objects with operators Matrix objects store values in a dynamic two-dimensional array that hold complex numbers. Calculations and functions performed on Matrices centered on proper memory management, allocating and de-allocating dynamic values as needed to increase efficiency while guarding against memory leaks.
Software Engineering Project Habitat for Humanity Trenton Spring 2014
Designed and developed web application in a collaborative software engineering project to assist the local Habitat for Humanity Organization staff in locating polluted plots of land. App receives an address from the user, performs an SQL query, returning a list of factories, manufacturing plants, contaminated fields.
