Human Resources & Facility Manager - 2014 – 2016

Manage HR processes for national organization, with focus on facilitating new hire onboarding and training processes. Companywide responsibility for benefits programs, including 401(k), FMLA, FSA and ACA reporting. Involved in the evaluation of benefits providers, ensuring enhanced services and cost-savings for the Company.

Manage office operations to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency, maintaining office management services for Sentry Data Systems Corporate offices, inclusive of landlord and vendor relations.

Support vendor change processes for Human Resources and Benefits, evaluating vendor data, analyzing, comparing and making recommendations. Ensure accurate data transfer and smooth transition, for 280-employee organization.

Work with/assist IT in the design and implementation of online technical tools (SharePoint internal data portal) to provide internal information and training to employees.

Human Resources Manager - 2011 - 2013

Manage and support HR processes for 90-person organization. Design and implement effective HR programs and processes to support Sentry’s fast-paced growth. Manage / evaluate benefits programs, in consideration of value-add, competitive options. New hire orientation / office information point of contact.

During first four months in position:

Managed company-wide benefits open enrolment process and implementation of new benefits provider.

Created performance planning, counselling and evaluation process, implementing online systems in ADP.

Developed “New Hire Welcome Kit”, in addition to implementing procedures for hiring, separations, salary planning, recruiting. Created the HR department’s operations manual, documenting all HR processes.

Implemented instantaneous, online background checking as part of new hire process.

Completed salary equity evaluation for all company positions.

Instituted mandatory company-wide online compliance training (i.e., Preventing Harassment) and Employee Handbook acknowledgment.

Updated Employee Handbook, ensuring up-to-date policies.

Was actively involved in the decision-making process for the new benefit year’s provider selection, reviewing and evaluating options to narrow down executive decision-process, implementing cost-savings and morale-enhancing ideas to current plans.

Advisory and administrative staff position for the Public Works – Utilities Department. Managed administrative support and Utilities Pipeyard Depot personnel.

Acted as Liaison to City’s Community Appearance Board, preparing meeting agendas, reviewing, revising and distributing minutes, preparing Board’s communications, and facilitating City’s responsibilities.

Worked with development team in coordinating and implementing department’s new inventory software rollout, ensuring accurate transference of data under department’s required specifications.

Operations / Office Manager – 1995 - 2006
