Managed the US and Canada subsidiary, Nanosurf Inc. Reported to the CEO of Nanosurf AG. Sales growth by over 10% in each of the years.

Sales and marketing of capital scientific equipment ranging in cost from $20K to $100K. Target markets included biosciences and material science researchers in both academia and industry.

Tasks includes operations, direct sales and marketing, market development to establish brand name recognition, sales team management, manage US OEM accounts and business development. December 2009 to February 2013 – Director, Applications Development, NanoInk Inc NanoInk, Inc. is a technology company specializing in nanometer-scale manufacturing and applications development for the life sciences, engineering, pharmaceutical, and education markets.

Recruited by NanoInk to establish and direct an applications development team and assist in sales and marketing. Tasks included project management, financial budgeting, interaction with key opinion leaders (KOL), sales and marketing, voice of customer to engineering and development teams

Organized numerous workshops and presented technical talks around the world.

The application development group developed 3 distinct bio-applications, single cell assays, high density bioarrays, and biosensors that addressed new markets. The applications development team also developed technologies with potential applications in next generation sequencing, high content protein arrays, in-vitro drug screening, and minimally-invasive point-of-care diagnostics

August 2008 till November 2009 – Chief Scientific Officer, Aspera Corp Aspera Corp aims to develop miniature detection systems for point-of-care diagnostics.

Founding member of the company with responsibilities in managing research activities, operations, and business development.

September 1998 to July 2008 – BioForce Nanosciences. BioForce Nanosciences, Inc. develops and commercializes nanotech instruments, consumables and applications for the life sciences industry.

2007 to July 2008 - Director of Emerging Technologies

Directed the research group responsible for the development of three novel biomolecular detection technologies, miniaturized immunoassays, Chip-on-a-Tip and Cell Well. CellWell and Chip-on- a-tip (COAT) are devices for the detection of proteins secreted from single cells. BioForce was awarded a R21 and a SBIR grant by NIH.

Established collaborative research efforts to develop novel technologies and to utilize the technologies developed at BioForce for increased sales and marketing presence.

Presented at several scientific meetings, including invited lectures and technology presentation at international research institutions in US, India, Singapore and S. Korea. 2004 to 2007 - Director of Research and Applications Development.

Directed the research group that was responsible for all research projects and applications development using the Nano eNabler.

Led the scientific segment of sales and marketing by generating necessary materials to persuade potential customers, made scientific presentations and product demonstrations at several institutions around the world, and presented invited lectures at scientific conferences.

Directed the research group that was responsible for the development of ViriChip. ViriChip is a virus particle detection and identification platform that has applications in biodefense.
