Quality Manager

Led Quality, Environmental System and Manufacturing Process improvements for privately held military/commercial survivability manufacturing company serving the transportation industry.

●Led team improvement efforts and CAPAs to solve customers’ technical issues using Fishbone and 8D. Drove incoming quality from key suppliers to zero defects. Conducted supplier onsite audits.

●Led ISO 9001 quality system compliance and company’s ISO 14001 Environmental System registration activities.

●Developed quality metrics reporting and improvement system using Infor SyteLine database/ERP system, Salesforce contact database, customer scorecard inputs and Microsoft Excel analysis tools.

●Developed and ran enterprise-wide customized Variability Reduction Improvement Program (VRP) for worldwide camera and film manufacturing operations, as precursor to Six Sigma. Selected to lead this key initiative for $3B+ global firm.

●Led and constructed 12 cross-functional teams (120+ individuals) in production and development areas through quality improvement process implementation. Ensured controls identified ownership, sustained improvement, and achieved goals.

●Designed and delivered total quality training materials for 350+ participants at multiple learning levels.

●Programmed and wrote code for computer simulations to optimize new conveyor system and eliminate bottlenecks.
