Spatial Data Management Project Engineer
SFS Architecture, Kansas City, Missouri December 2001 – March 2016 Responsible for laser measurement, electronic drawing representation and overall occupancy assignment of over 300 Federal buildings in eight GSA Regions, totaling over 35 million square feet of space in 25 states and territories. Followed GSA best practices in the drawing and assignment of space, including utilization of GSA’s National Business Space Assignment Policy (NBSAP) and electronic Space Management and Reporting Tool (eSMART) for the vast majority of building projects. Served as the primary SFS technical liaison to GSA personnel, and was responsible for implementing GSA directives into relevant SDM projects in as timely and seamless a manner as possible. Developed in-house drawing standards for SDM projects, including the implementation of templates and common block files for SDM drawings. Assisted principal SFS personnel in development and implementation of rigorous quality control procedures and internal policy guidance for use in all SDM projects. Responsible for training of new SFS personnel into the SDM environment, and was primary responsible for scheduling and coordination of work with GSA personnel in order to ensure as minimal an amount of disruption and inconvenience to building tenants as possible. Responsible for adherence to specific technical standards for inserted elements such as telephone poles and fixtures, fiber-optic lines and terminals and overall street layouts as indicated on hand-drawn maps.

Bramlage Coliseum, Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas August 1999 – May 2001 Primarily responsible for development of AutoCad drawing plans for various arena functions, including basketball games, trade shows and expositions, job fairs and concerts, showing intended facility layout for rooms tables, chairs, stage elements, basketball equipment and curtain placement, and worked as a part of the stagehand crew to implement plans as indicated on the approved layout drawings. Began initial measurement of the Coliseum seating bowl in order to develop a full three-dimensional rendering for use in possible arena configurations.
