Performs all testing of welder performance prior to commence of project. Oversees all xrays and weld procedures, oversees all specifications of job pertaining to ie, xrays, doping (slick or cement) all bevels. Certified with Flux Core, Heli Arc, Alum. Short Arc, and Mig Wire, and automatics.
Objective: Performance in the specifics of metallurgy. Provides definite technical advice and formats pertaining to job activities at hand. Discusses and presents outcome of project with team leaders. Suggesting alternative solutions where appropriate in the fabrication are construction whilst on project . Provides technical overview of working personnel where and when needed ie, including monitoring project process and contract client requirements. Understands designs, selection of metallic materials, welding procedures and qualifications.
I supervise the installation, repair and job performance on all welders. Test out all welders for project assignment. I plan, assign and set schedules for all welding crew. Train crew personnel on all safety and work procedures. Establishes safety and work performance standards. I supervise the work of multinational journeyman and helpers and enhance safety and top job performance. Able to communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing. I have the professional skill in the use and care of tools and equipment used on work assignments. Well established and knowlegable of the properties of ferrous and non ferrous metals encountered in the welding task at hand. I prepare and establish material list, order supplies and equipment required for the project. Very knowlegable of the occupational hazards and I enforce safety precautions in the welding department. I maintain and effective working relationship with all personnel on board.
