PROJECT DETAILS:
Primary Project: DIGITAL FREQUENCY SYNTHESIZER
A VLSI project based on the Lt Spice Simulator to design a fully digital frequency synthesizer circuit. It plays a critical role in defining the performance of wireless systems in terms of measures such as operating frequency range, settling time, phase noise and spur performance and area/power consumption. Most of the frequency synthesizer employ a phase locked loop circuit, as this technique offer many advantages such as minimum complexity for the architecture, low power consumption and maximum use of large scale integration technology.
The generation of many different frequencies from a single stable frequency is commonly achieved with analog circuits or combinations of analog and digital circuits. All of these approaches generate a large set of frequencies from a single source in the analog or continuous sense by division, phase lock, mixing, or a combination of such techniques. The digital frequency synthesizer is a circuit design that generates a new frequency from a single stable reference frequency.
Mini Project: DOOR AUTOMATION USING RFID
A security based project that stemmed from my exposure to the RFID based entry access systems available at various corporations. As theft via breaking locks is a common scenario around my hometown, I wanted to employ my skills to build a cheap and reliable RFID based security system that reduces the risk of breaking and entering. This project was coded accurately using 89S52 chip and RFID based authentication. Home owners can easily afford the expenses of deploying one in their homes
The advantage is that there are no exposed locking systems and so the thieves are dissuaded from picking locks. A home owner with an RFID tag on person is automatically recognized by the sensor on proximity and the doors are unlocked. A security code based entry is also present, in case the home owner forgets to carry the RFID.
Seminar: UMTS-WIMAX VERTICAL HANDOVER IN NEXT GENERATION WIRELESS NETWORKS
Presented a study of the concepts of various wireless access technologies in use. Researched and presented various interworking architectures and handover scenario comparisons between UMTS and WiMAX.
