Course Work: Location of Sensors For Air Quality Monitoring
Air quality monitoring is the method of detection, measurement & forecasting information. The methodology includes collection of information, selection of pollutants for air dispersion, air dispersion mechanism, identification of points for location of sensors. Input data is given to the Aermod dispersion software which gives results in the form of the concentrations of the pollutants under consideration. The pollutants which are taken into consideration are sulphur dioxide, oxides of nitrogen & particulate matter. The result of dispersion software gives points with high concentrations & sensors are located specifically at these points which give pollutant data in order to monitor pollution.
