Responsible for assisting faculty in teaching and grading for Mechanical Engineering, Steam Power plant, Energy systems Laboratory
Ram Tech Manufacturing Industries (India)
Machine Design Intern, Jan 2014 - May 2014
The main objective of the project was to Design and Development of DMG 5-AIXS Virtual CNC Machine (Equipment design).
Worked on NX-CAD for modeling machine parts and NX-CAM for generating tool path and NC program.
Kinematics for virtual kit assembly using machine tool builder. DMG 5-axis machine used to manufacture case study model.
Parts designed Table, Rotary table, cover, frame, spindle, x-Guide, y-Slide, spindle assembly.
Designed parts are assembled to build virtual kit using Unigraphics NX-7.5 Run simulation in NX-CAM and check the process satisfies to the requirement DMG 5-AIXS machine.
IC-Engines Laboratory, Vignan University (India)
Lab Assistant, July 2013– Dec 2013
Worked as a support assistant for internal combustion engines lab, demonstrating the experiments and explaining basic analysis of results.
PROJECTS
Biodiesel production unit by Hybrid energy (Team lead), Jan2016-May2016
Tennessee Technological University (Cookeville, TN)
The main goal of this project was to produce Biodiesel using hybrid energy sources and PLC programming to save Electrical Energy and processing time.
Hybrid unit design features - two step processing to avoid titration, several oil heating sources like solar power (parabolic dish solar reflector, 12v heating belt, 12v water heater) to reduce amount of electric heat used to heat up the oil.
Used ULTRASONIC which brakes the chemical bonds in lesser time, which helps in reducing the process time.
Placing sensors for level, temperature and pressure to make the process automation.
Advantages - Decreases the processing time (Reaction time), increase the yield, reduce the cost.
Hybrid electric vehicle solar power system, Jan2015-July2015
Purdue University (Online)
The main goal of this project was to use renewable energy to reduce electric power by using hybrid sources, by building a solar panel setup as a roof of the vehicle and a series of batteries to store the solar power.
Develop the previous existing electric model to hybrid model.
Designed the setup and working mechanism from the existing model and analyzing the results.
Components used in this is solar panels of 135w and battery set up of 12v 35Ah each.
Achieved results that proved using hybrid system yields more compared to standard electrical system.
Wind tunnel Experiment and simulation analysis (CFD), Aug2015 - Dec2015
Tennessee Technological University (Cookeville, TN)
The objective was to understand the flow around a sphere both experimentally and numerically.
Comparing and analyzing with previous results.
Sphere used in the experiment is highly polished with 4” (10.16cm) diameter equipped with a 3/8inch sting mounting post.
Collected results from experimental setup using AEROLAB.
Geometry of the model and simulation setup is created using STARCCM+ with desired conditions at different velocities.
Made calculations of coefficient of drag, coefficient of lift and plot results by using Microsoft EXCEL. Analyze the data with previous results.
