Responsibilities supporting continued development of companies Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS) product which centralizes the monitoring and health reporting of specific aircraft(helicopter) components, such as the engines, drive train, and RTB. The product is designed to detect, report, and provide diagnostic solutions for the identified systems as well as monitor for exceedances and log operational usage (e.g. Flight Time) and improve aircraft serviceability and maintainability between scheduled inspections and overhaul periods.
Responsibilities included: PCB sensor Interface design, updating and improving existing product, PCB artwork to meet customer and FCC emission requirements, VHDL development for various helicopter platforms such as Sikorsky and Northrop Grumman’s VTUAV (MQ-8B) programs.
