Production Manager / Manufacturing of Sheet Metal and Integration Systems
Plan and execute labor plans for manufacturing and integration for 7 customers concurrently. Ensure availability of parts, materials and resources to support all customer demand, and enable on-time-delivery to a diverse customer base using system metrics to measure success.
Established effective communication with program managers, customers, planning, process engineering, and quality engineering and production team members to drive on-time delivery through monitoring operations from start to finish.
Optimized labor needed on a daily bases using lean process to reduce labor cost. Maintain quality levels and maintaining work in process inventory. Identifying root causes that require inventory adjustments and having engineering correct BOM issues identified in process.

Planned and scheduled labor of over 200 employees over two shifts. Supervised the inbound and distribution of customer products. Insured on-time delivery of customer products for the DFW area.
Selected Achievements:
Successfully managed the opening of two locations for new operations – Longview, TX and Tyler, TX. This included hiring and training drivers.
Successfully trained dock workers to become city drivers through a training program.
Maintained trailer inventory and logged in metrics for home office.
Successfully completed all manager training with the company at the time of its closing in 1997.
Best achievement was to increase route coverage by 20%, with same number of drivers.
