Mostly processing variety of gears for commercial aircrafts and parts for military ordnance

We are providing Engineering Service in this area too; from gear design all the way to deliver the required parts to our customers

We are checking all drawing specifications and making sure that everything is correct; all dimensions and gear parameters, surface quality, GD&T's, material selection, stress analysis, heat treat, case depth, ...

I'm very familiar with the Design of Gears; paid extra attention to the high quality Bevel Gears for aerospace applications. Can operate any Software for Gear Design; that software is very handy and easy to learn

Designing holding fixtures, auxiliary tools, custom gear cutting tools, ...

Utilizing MasterCAM for programming NC Mill & Lathe Machines

Epicor Software is used for developing a Routing Prosess; for creating documentations we are using SolidWorks, and AutoCad

ARROW GEAR Company

2301 Curtiss St.

Downers Grove, IL 60515-4055

January 2014 - February 2015

Manufacturing Engineer

Arrow Gear is an aerospace company specialized in gear manufacturing and providing engineering service in this area. Mostly they are manufacturing the high quality gears for military and commercial aircrafts

My primary duty was developing NC Programs for Mill & Lathe Machines utilizing NX 8.5 Software. Till now I have created somewhere around 160 new programs mostly for Mill Machines; doing Lathe programming only when the parts have a very high priority.

I am very familiar with NX Software, used many available advanced options. Can create 5-Axes Milling Programs or develop programs for Mill-Turn Production Centers with B-Axis. Used almost all options available in Variable Axis Surface Contouring Module; proficient with all those drive methods, e.g. Point, Curve, Surface Area, Boundary, Streamline and Contour Profile

Created some programs with Sequential Milling Method; this method is very advanced and challenging. It is very handy for defining a complex tool trajectory and variable axis orientation. Can develop programs for Turbo Blades machining too but we're not running those parts

In short I can rough-out any external gear and leave stock for finishing operations; can develop all required Mill & Lathe NC Programs. Aerospace gears have very intricate geometry; there are many hydraulic features as well - holes, channels, scallops, chamfers...

Passed a very extensive training for Esprit 2013; can do NC Programming with this Software too. For very complex parts it is very hard to beat NX Software; Esprit and Pro/E are offering many cool features but NX is offering more options and it works flawlessly

Generally speaking my NX skills are very high; for developing good NC Programs it might be needed to create advanced curves, surfaces or solid bodies. Very proficient with creating parts, drawings and assemblies; can do Motion Analysis or develop an FEA Model

Can build a post for the programs developed with NX and Esprit Software; worked very seriously on improving my post building skills. I am familiar with many advanced options so I will be able to customize a NC Program very quickly

February 2013 - January 2014

Manufacturing Engineer - A Contract position with Caterpillar, Inc.

Programming CNC Mill and Lathe Machines, checking for interference, troubleshooting, improving manufacturing process, helping other NC Programmers, ...

Utilizing NX7.5 and Creo 2 for developing those NC Programs. I am very proficient with both software; primary duty was developing brand new programs from the scratch.

First step was creating a NC Assembly, defining tools, importing fixture and workpiece, setting up the coordinate system, developing sequences, check for collision and tool interference, providing documentations for manufacturing, ...

Working very closely with the personal on the floor; providing all information and simulation if needed, warning in advance if I have noticed any issues; replacing some non-compatible tools

Developing the Probing Cycles was required too; checking the part presence, confirm the coordinate system location or flatness, measure the critical dimensions and adjust the following operation automatically. I am familiar with the Heller and Renishaw Probing Cycles

Have developed ~ 50 brand new programs from the scratch for Heller HMC and four for Mazak HMC

Utilized NX 7.5 software for programming; I am very, very impressed with this software capabilities and definitely it is user friendly. Can do Lathe and EDM programs if it is required too or programming machines with 5-Axes.

Have updated a few Lathe Programs using Pro/E; redefining the trajectory for tool testing purpose.

Familiar with Beyond Compare, Vericut, Team Center and several other CAT proprietary Software

September 2011 – February 2013

Mechanical Designer - Contract position inside GE Healthcare

Worked on developing the latest CT Scanning Machine. Design parameters assigned to this machine are very high in terms of g-forces, positioning accuracy, heat isolation, rendering a very sharp image, balancing all rotational components, rotational deflection, developing FEA Model, live testing inside the special chambers, ...

Heat Shield subassembly was assigned to me; it includes around 25 new components with very complex geometry. There are many space restrictions; very tight tolerances, making sure everything is aligned and constrained correctly without any interference among the parts, …

My duty was to design all those components, update the main assembly and lastly create all drawings. For several components I needed two or more sheets with many different views, cross section and detailed views.

Redesigned Heat Shield subassembly passed the FEA test and after that it was reviewed and accepted by the Review Board

Second position was with the Evasive Cardiology Group; it is specialized in developing advanced medical devices for the heart beat monitoring. My duty was to create all required documentation; parts, assemblies, drawings, labels; schematics, ...

On this position utilized the following software; Pro/E Creo Elements, My WorkShop, Windchill, and Adobe Illustrator CS5

SCIAKY Inc.

Mechanical Designer - A Contract Position

Worked on designing custom machines for automatic welding process; sometimes it was required to make some changes based on our customer request

Those machines are very similar; it was required to review existing documentation and make changes based on the size of new part

It was required to develop all documentation for a new welding machine; we have utilized Pro/E Wildfire 4.0 Software for creating solid parts, assemblies and, drawings

The documentation must be fully defined and all machine elements specified; for example Electro Motor selection, bearings, clutches, gear boxes, actuators, measuring scales, sensors, hydraulic system, ...

Utilized Pro Mechanica & Mechanism for model analysis.
