1.Spool Releasing Inspector for the fabrication shop of Carbon Steel, Low-Impact Tested Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel
Conduct inspection in welding and piping (dimensional, mat’l specification, orientation, squareness, heat nos., identification and cleanliness) on all finished spools.
Spools, which are for rectify are properly commented on
Traceability Records and marked also on pipe.
Accepted spools are then verified on computer confirming the
welding dates and welders code, while attachments such as
air leak test report and orifice flanges dimensions reports
included.
Traceability Records are endorse to the main contractors
welding and piping inspectors for their inspection. Remarks or
comments are coordinated with shop engineers, supervisors
and foreman for repairs.
Accepted TR’S are documented and released for NDT.
Repairs of welding resulting from RT are checked again until RT accepted.
2.Pneumatic/Hydro Test and Orifice Flange Inspector
Conduct air leak test on all reinforcing pads, record and document.
Measure the orifice flange ID, verify the nipple orientation, record and document.
Witness hydro test for water line pipes prior for galvanizing and ensure test pack are in order.
