In late 2004 transitioned from a 5 day a week Sanitation shift to dual function Production/Sanitation shift with employees running product 3 days a week. Continuing working to increase production efficiencies and reduce raw material variances and maintain high quality standards. Maintain LOTO procedures for production equipment and incorporate into SOPs for Sanitation tasks. Lead 3rd shift Safety Team and administer monthly safety trainings. Maintain chemical inventories, monitor concentrations and temperatures in CIP systems to State, Federal and Company specifications. Other duties as company needs dictate.
Maintenance Technician
Worked in all aspects of the Waterbury maintenance department from greasing to managing projects. Worked with R&D/engineering on new products and process scale ups. Wrote sop’s for maintenance use on new equipment and preventative maintenance routines. Responsible for the entire plant production air system and the bundler mezzanine packaging systems. Worked with operators to make improvements to existing equipment. Building on our past successes we were able to make recommendations for quality of equipment and layout of the latest mezzanine project and it paid off in a smooth start up of the PDC tamper band machines and new conveyor and collating systems.
