Until recently I was the M.E. Buyer / Scheduler for GOSS International America’s. My Primary duties are to monitor, control material inventories and tooling needs. Responsible for researching, cost reduction methods of machining and for materials and tooling for manufacturing our product.
I work independently, with no supervision and quote all orders from blueprints, or hand drawings, or verbally. Obtain all RFQ’S; Write all requisitions, all Purchase orders, and all in house Production, service and tooling orders. I then monitor and track all purchase and production orders for on time delivery, completion, and best quality for the best price. I also run daily open order reports, weekly shortage reports, and all vendor open order reports, schedule all work through machine shop.
I recommend and implement cost saving measures to our machine shop, Able to design fixtures and tooling to help processes. I work extremely close with in-house management on projects, as well as the employees, and maintain a professional but friendly relationship with all outside vendors. I rate and have done report cards for vendor performance.
I have written and implemented as well as conducted new employee training. I am part of the interviewing, hiring, and firing process. I provide daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly cost and efficiency reports with all relevant statistical data. I am proficient with Microsoft office, as well as with SAP.
My 20 plus years as a machinist has given me the edge in this field, When it comes to all my responsibilities I have actually done them on the floor as a machinist.
I use GD&T daily, and am constantly seeking ways of improvement in the machine shop and in all the processes in my own job to maximize the overall efficiency.
I worked on a modernization capitol improvement project for our inside machine shop. I have designed floor plans, And been directly dealing with distributors and the outside sales of major machinery companies.
I have over 20 years of manufacturing experience with 10 years as a shop leader.
I have the skills and ambition not only to gather, Analyze and interpret data and information in detail but to completely relay that information with professionalism. I enjoy achieving success when outlook for success seems grim. I will investigate till I have the answers.
