Responsibilities include the maintenance, upgrade and enhancements to existing user system and continuing user support that include resolving problems, advising on the use of new technologies, monitoring transactions to measure performance and continued effectiveness of assigned systems in relation to changes in business processes and new business requirements.

Subject matter expert for the integration of the Funds Monitoring Tool OLAP and Standard Reports into the new UN ERP (Umoja) and worked closely with the affected Umoja development team to create the new data warehouse, BI cubes/views and on-demand reports.

Tasked with setting up the infrastructure for the Web and Application servers for the BIS/PK-BIS project which involved migrating components (HTML, CSS, Javascript, .ASP, .NET, VB6) to Windows 2008/IIS 7 platform.

Saved the department $200,000.00 by single-handedly upgrading the Funds Monitoring Tool application platform from Cognos 7.3 to Cognos 8.4.

Business Analyst for the Distributed Application Support and Development Team of the International Computing Centre, which provides IT services to the Department of Peacekeeping Operations of the United Nations. Major responsibilities include creation of Technical and User Manuals as well as Lotus Notes/Domino application architecture and development.

Business Analyst and Technical Writer for the Aircraft Inspections and Recommendation System project. This application was developed for the Pocket PC platform running Mobile Notes. The system is used by the DPKO Aviation Safety Unit to assess the aircraft and/or air operators’ performance when chartering aircrafts for troop transport during deployment and rotations.

Lotus Notes consultant for the DPKO Portal project. Designed and developed a Staff Time Allocation Reporting System as well as a Change Management System for internal use for this portal project.

Streamlined the process of transferring data from a legacy Btrieve based accounting system used in the DPKO missions to a SQL Server based web application. The bandwidth available between the remote missions and UN HQ in New York cannot accommodate a straight database-to-database transfer so that a process was developed that uses Notes replication to effect the data exchange.

Member of a team that developed a Calendaring and Scheduling system for New York City’s Traffic Adjudication Department. This system allows the scheduling of case hearings on a monthly basis, based on the number and type of violations. It also allows for the assignment of judges to handle the scheduled hearings based on the judges’ availability and ability to handle the violations. This system was developed with Lotus Notes handling the calendaring and scheduling back-end and Java for the front-end. The interface between Notes and Java in a Websphere environment was written using VisualAge for Java.

Designed and developed a Lotus Notes/Domino based content management application for a medical consulting website. Migrated the company’s HTML based medical website into the new environment allowing them more control over the update and maintenance of the site’s contents.

Supervised the development of a deal capture front-end using Visual Basic and SQL Server for a mainframe based Foreign Exchange and Money Market legacy systems.
