Dodge County Human Services & Health Department - Juneau, WI - April 2001 to June 2015 Job Duties: To assess the safety of children in their family homes, relative homes and foster home placements. To interview all involved parties and make decisions quite promptly regarding where members of the family should reside and what resources may be most helpful. Sometimes court hearings are required for the families in which attorneys, social workers and judges can collaborate to make initial decisions for families in these crisis situations. During the court process an ongoing social worker is assigned early on to build rapport with the family also. It is necessary for the intake social worker and the ongoing social worker to maintain good rapport throughout this process and to work together for the best interest of the family. Supervision of a four bed adult Group Home with different abilities. Supervision of the staff in that Group Home and to delegate the daily duties to each staff member. To make sure the household shopping and planning of meals was accomplished each day. Doing the weekly schedules and working daily shifts myself if needed.
