Established Technical Services Department to carry out maintenance on capital equipment and provide a vehicle for building in-house solutions to technical problems.

Wrote and implemented a maintenance plan for production machinery that increased the availability of equipment for use in production.

Designed and supervised construction of the control systems for six pick and place machines, increasing capacity by 500% at a cost substantially below systems available from outside vendors.

Tested and recommended the purchase of new trimmer measurement systems that proved to be far more reliable that the originally installed systems.

Special Projects Engineer

Designed updated control system for 20 year-old semi-automatic pick and place machine, thereby extending its service life for approximately 20% of replacement cost.

Designed and built a laser scribing system freeing up a more valuable trimmer previously used for this function.

Trained technicians and served as the technician of last resort.

Rebuilt a preventative maintenance system.

Authored procedures and job descriptions in support of Electro-Films’ ISO 9001 certification effort.
