Designer and Analyst Jan 2014 to Jun 2014 CADD center – Vijayawada, IND
Working as automotive parts modeler with the use of Catia V5 based on drafted drawings of the components from the local manufacturing contractor along with the BOM.
Safety stop valve for public water pipeline flow control, design of floor body to mount everything on and support for struts of RC vehicle and Multi clutch plate’s part models along with their assembly are the undertaken projects.
On successful completion of a 6 month period, I have achieved a Diploma in Product design for Catia V5 and UGNX.
CNC programmer/ Student Jun 2013 to Dec 2013 Central institute for tool design – Vijayawada, IND
Modeling of part models using Creo Parametric 1.0/Pro-E and writing down the polar coordinates for the CNC machine (tool & base board movement).
Modeling of various parts like, petrol engine piston, Impeller for centrifugal pump, body of a stop valve, lower and upper housing of air blower etc.,
Machining of produced component made a great deal in learning the GD & T.
Modeler & Tester Research intern Dec 2012 to May 2013 Kusalava Hyundai Pvt. Ltd. – Agiripalli, IND
Research on types and standards of engine block liner’s their design and various manufacturing techniques for its production.
Part designing of engine block liner with 3D modeling using Creo Parametric 1.0/ Pro-E for various sizes of respective engines.
Testing of the finished product with NDT (Non-destructive Testing) machine to check its surface finish and quality of the final product.
Try various technique to take out the unwanted metal from sand molding of the part for recycle and reuse.
Skill areas
-AutoCAD - UGNX - Microsoft Word
-Catia V5(R20) - Abaqus
-ANSYS - Microsoft Excel
-Creo Parametric 1.0/Pro-E - Microsoft Power point
Education
Master of Science, Mechanical Engineering GPA – 3.0 2016 University of Dayton – Dayton, OH
Bachelors in Technology, Mechanical Engineering GPA – 3.4 2013 Vignan’s University – Andhra Pradesh, India
Projects
Design and analysis of a real time Crane hook using Catia V5 and Ansys, to check for strength using different materials for its behavioral changes in different loading conditions. Calculating its point of elasticity, yield strength and ultimate point for each material respectively.
The project is to construct a school building with a net zero efficiency i.e, generation of power for heater or to cool the building is to completely done using the renewable energy (solar power with the use of solar panels) and zero percentage of power to taken from power grid.
Project on "Aerodynamic effects on Semi Trucks" and had a chance to present at STME-2013. The modeling was accomplished with the use of PTC creo parametric 1.0, and to calculate the air flow around the truck we used Ansys (FMEA) to see the vector flow airflow, various other parameters tested are gap treatment to stabilize vortexes, base treatment, under trailer and aerodynamic trailer design like teardrop or base drop.
Extra-curricular activities
Worked as a event coordinator for “Tug of wars”, it’s a rope pull and battle between two opponent robots, to test their design, weight to torque ratio.
Student coordinator for national level youth festival for two consecutive years in accommodating food and a place to stay for the students attending the festival.
I have participated in a workshop with a haptic robotic arm challenge for a crane claw control. Which was a good to have a good hands on experience for the advancements in the robotic technology and to make my own injection molding grippers
Event coordinator as well a participant for a RC vehicle challenge to design, test for acceleration torque and performance in different terrain conditions.
