PROFESSIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE:

Idaho Milk Products, Jerome, ID (12/2012- present)

Technical Project Manager

(Feb.2015-present): Leader of several business improvement projects designed to maintain operational excellence for the company. Work directly with R&D, Sales, and Marketing groups to commercialize new products. Coordinate operations with selected vendors and contractors for $6 million plant expansion project. Key member of Plant Expansion Project Team to maintain daily production schedule while keeping plant down time to a minimum during construction and commissioning of project.

Production Manager

(Apr.2014-Feb.2015): Manage a total of 185 million lbs per year production of protein, permeate and cream products from milk delivery to packaged product. Work with Sales Team to develop production schedules based on customer and inventory demands. Maintain facility compliance for audits including SQF Level 3, Customer Audits, and HACCP programs. Responsible for the personal development of 8 direct report salaried employees and 40 indirect reporting hourly employees. Develop and uphold budgets for production related costs including cleaning chemicals, packaging materials, ingredients, and filtration costs. Report bi-weekly Production KPI figures for Executive Team. Interview and provide assistance in hiring new production employees with the Human Resources Department.

Production Lead Supervisor

(Dec.2012-Mar.2014): Oversee the daily production of Milk Protein Concentrate Powder and Milk Permeate Powder. Maintain plant compliance and coordinate equipment inspections with Idaho State Department of Agriculture Inspectors. Manage a team of supervisors and assist them with directing their teams of Operators. Track and monitor product quality and provide statistical process control driven inputs for impacting product quality. Lead process improvement teams for key operational issues relating to product quality.

Glanbia Foods Inc., Twin Falls, ID (01/07-10/12)

Regulatory Compliance Specialist

(Mar.2012-Nov.2012): Oversee facility safety and environmental compliance from various regulatory authorities. Audit assigned hot work and confined space permits and procedures. Develop tracking metrics from the City of Twin Falls waste water reports. Monitor and report facility Behavior Based Safety program. Conduct EPA Tier II chemical reporting. Perform all necessary safety and environmental trainings for 50+ facility employees and outside contractors. Maintain and pursue further compliance with Glanbia Risk Management Systems audits.

Production Team Leader (AKA, Production Supervisor)

(Sept.2008-Mar.12): Glanbia Performance System (GPS) leader for Twin Falls plant. Coordinate and lead focused improvement teams using LEAN, TPM and Focus Improvement based tools for solving plant production issues resulting in $4.5 million savings in 2 years. Perform vacation relief duties for other Team Leaders. Manage, purchase and inventory all plant packaging and ingredients utilizing SAP Business Software.

Management Trainee

(Jan.2007-Sept.2008): Learn operations of Twin Falls and Gooding Cheese Plants. Work on Customer Opportunity Team to solve and prevent customer complaints. Assure plant compliance for USDA and customer approvals. Perform various tasks as assigned by the Plant Management for day to day operations.

Bachelors of Agriculture Systems Management (BS) University of Idaho.

oSenior Design Capstone Project: Collaborative member of engineering and design team. Developed and built a low cost prototype unit for the disposal of glycerol, a by-product of the bio-diesel manufacturing process. Our efforts resulted in a forced air induction furnace system that consumed glycerol as a fuel, providing a low cost heating source.
