To work as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician for a reputed Airline Company and be responsible for maintenance and repairs to keep aircraft working safely and efficiently. I have completed 2 yrs full-time Training Course in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, leading to AME basic Licence, issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka, conducted at the Asian Aviation Centre.(AAC) Personal Profile

Key Skills & Competencies

In addition to the practical training in the hanger, the ‘on-the-job training’ component of this course, has enabled me assist in work on operational aircraft in the Flight Academy of the AAC.

I have worked under the senior AMT’s and assisted them in completing inspections of various equipment and devices on aircrafts, including engines, landing gear, flight instruments, pressurized components, brakes, valves, pumps, and any other part of the plane that requires regular maintenance and also assisted in performing scheduled maintenance, and making necessary repairs.

Very often, I have assisted in finding and fixing problems that pilots describe, after returning from Training Flights, such as a faulty fuel gauge etc.

To some extent, I have experienced the pressure of working quickly and safely so that the aircraft can be put back into service as soon as possible. Technical / Professional Qualifications

• Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course, under approval of Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka

Basic Engineering: Metal cutting, Filling and Fitting, Drilling. Reaming and Thread cutting Bending and Fairing.

Material Construction: Composite Sandwich Panel Construction, Removal and Repair.

Structure Repair: Riveting, De-riveting, (Solid & Blind), Patch Repair, Sheet Bending.

Aircraft System Practical: Flight Control System, Landing Gear System, Hydraulic System Air-Conditioning and Pressurization, De-Icing and Anti Icing.

Piston Engine and Propeller Practical: Disassembling and assembling. Experience:

Hands on experience on identifying Aircraft Systems components of ‘Antonov 24B’ Russian aircraft, which includes Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Air conditioning & Pressurization, Flight Controls, Power plant, Landing Gears, Fuel system etc.

Experience of dismantling and reassembly of AVCO Lycoming 0-235 engine of Cessna 152 aircraft.

Experience of dismantling and reassembly a float type carburetor. Done other checks such as Crankshaft-run out checks, Tappet clearance check, Cylinder bore check, Propeller track check & considered all clearances in accordance with the aircraft maintenance manual.
