Manufacturing process assessment & process improvement:

Developed project plan as per the scope and deadline of the project using MS Project software. Set the base line of the project

Manufacturing Fabrication and Painting (MFP2) project at Cummins Power Generation, Fridley, MN

Aim of the project:

Update manufacturing drawings based on physical evaluation of manufactured components also known as "Part to Print". Update outdated drawings according to current Cummins standards with GD&T.

Core aspects of the Project:

3D scanning of manufactured components using FARO arm with LASER line probe and generation of surface scans (STL files) along with point cloud data. Comparison of generated scan with available CAD models. Creation of Dimensional Variation Analysis (DVA) report. Address quality issues in product.

Fundamental Responsibilities:

Shop floor area layout planning, Resource planning, Material flow planning, 3D scanning and DVA report creation.

Graduate Projects:

Design, Analysis and Planning of a facility of Fair Traders distribution warehouse

Redesigned distribution center using AutoCAD. Improved distribution center operations for projected business expansion. Data analysis and changes were made in arrangement of distribution center, which resulted in 14.8% cost reduction. Increased the throughput of the company to 25% in the first year and 35% in the second year.
