Assist in preparing a strategic document for a five-year programme funded by the European Union. Preparing financing document including leading technical studies to support investments. Coordinating project stakeholders and leading team of experts and project officers during implementation. Actively involved in bid preparation and evaluation. Leading programme audits and evaluation. Portfolio increased from EUR 3m to EUR 100m over 10 years.

Major achievements: Turned around an education programme by revising project schedule and bid document that finally provided 20 schools (around 800 children) decent classes in one of the world’s low-income countries. Setting up a road development programme putting maintenance high on the government agenda. Within three years road maintenance changed from 0% to 100% of the primary network. As a result, jobs were created, better access to services was provided and the economic backbone of the country was strengthened.

Design Engineer/Project Manager June 1995 – June 2004

Design building and water engineering infrastructures. Hydraulic engineer for

design of water and wastewater network. Coordinating preparation of bid proposals. Site supervision and contract management for projects using FIDIC procurement procedures.

Major achievements: Timely completion of the feasibility and detailed design of wastewater infrastructure network for 13 housing estates thus establishing the company credibility in that field. As a result project, the scope was doubled by the client at the company’s benefit.
