Currently working as a QC manager in PDOECL (Pipavav Defence and Offshore Engineering Company Limited) (one of the prime shipbuilding, Ship Repair and rig offshore & heavy engineering industry in India & ISO 9001:2008,EMS14001:2004,OHSE18001:2007 certified under DNV & IRQS),Piavav Rajhula in India from 1st July to till date.

Worked as a Manager (QC) in Rig Offshore(oil and gas) at ABG shipyard Limited, Dahej India (one of the prime shipbuilding, Ship Repair and rig offshore & heavy engineering industry in India & ISO 9001:2008,EMS14001:2004,OHSE18001:2007 certified under DNV & IRQS) from January 2002 to February 2015 I,e 13 years.

(Total experience in ABG shipyard ltd. Was 14 years but I was fully involved in B.tech course in CMJ University,MEGHALAYA from April 2009 to March 2012 I,e 3 years after prior permission from the hr of ABG and did not resigned from ABG)

I have been working in SHANTI BOILERS AND PRESSURE VESSELS PVT.LTD.,W B as a QC ENGINEER from January-1995 to December-2001 I,e 6 years.

Work Profile in PDOECL:

* Implementing the QA/QC management system at site

Coordinating with quality inspections with all the site sub contractors and vendors coordinate all non destructive testing on site

Coordinating with the customers representative on all quality matters

Coordinating all receipt inspections

Distributing relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors

Verifying that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards

Participating in the site internal and external site audits

Coordinating all the quality site inspections through the site QC inspectors

Ensuring that all quality control documentation is complied and competed for as-built hand over through the QC turnover engineer

Controlling all nonconformance reports and undertaking remedial action

Competing site quality control instructions and action remedial responses

Reviewing the customers specification and undertaking relevant training to the site QC inspector

Completing and coordinating the approval of the sites QC technical submittals to the customer

Coordinating with the site construction manager on all quality issues Coordinate and chair the QA/QC site weekly meetings with the projects subcontractors QC personnel

Elaborating inspection and test programs

Ensuring the safety is adhered to at site

Assuring all technical documents relative to site quality control are current status

Work Profile in ABG shipyard ltd.:

Monitoring and appraising construction works for conformance with specifications, standards, safe work practices. Actively participating in Inspection of various blocks under construction with respect to Approved drawings at Fabrication of structural works of vessels & Rigs to meet the requirements of quality as per Established Codes, standards and Customers agreed Standards.

(ASME Sec VIII, ASME B31.3,AWS D1.1,ASME sec V,IACS ASME sec IX,API1104, IACS and others national & International codes as required. )

Sorting out quality related issued on Oil & Gas Project related Piping fabrication activities and carrying out inspection on all the stage of production works & offering the Inspection to third party inspection agency for final clearance of the same.

Preparing inspection check list & planning to depute QC engineers for ensure proper completion of Inspection at all micro stage activities of fabrication.

Played key role for Part Material Identification and their correlation with Inward Material Inspection Report, Fit-up, Weld Visuals & Dimensional Inspection of Blocks/Ships, Cement tanks (Heads, Nozzles), External Attachments as per Latest issued Approved Fabrication Drawings, Wind mill tower alignments check, Establishment of PQR/WPS as per requirement, Preparing of QA plan, tank testing plan,NDT Plan as per class/national or international codes requirement, correction of drawings(If any latest rev. drawings may come)in construction drawings etc.

Carried out monitoring / supervision on Welding Process as per approved Shop Weld Plan, WPS & PQR and examined Weld Visually. Ensured proper record keeping on Welder’s Qualification and make sure that correct qualified welders were deployed on construction works in view of achieving quality production.

Prepared NDT Test Plan for Oil & Gas project works and got approved from class / owners rep. Ensured all relevant tests are conducted in the way / after fabrication activities of structure.

Reviewing charts of PWHT (Stress Relieving, Normalizing etc.) of Complete Equipment.

Also witnessed several Tests like Hydro-static Test of Piping Loops, Pneumatic Test, Positive Material Identification, and Hardness Tests of Weld Joints.

After yard’s internal checks, coordinated with surveys conducted by Third Party Inspection Agencies' deputed Surveyor/ Authorized Inspector / Certifying Agencies' deputed Surveyor as per Pre-decided Quality Control Plan for all the Fabrication Activities.

Ensured that all project production related survey Reports, test reports and documents are correctly prepared & well preserved for future review / reference.

Liaison with the client and project execution team on quality related issues, resolving the NCRs, observations made by third party.

Presently strongly involved in Training of Various NDT methods as well as Welding process with their advantage and disadvantage and thinking about better option.

Establish NDT procedure as per latest publication of codes and then its approved from Third party and review of older procedure to find any correction as per new edition

Find out suitable NDT technique (Advance technique) to find out nonconformity if any as per available technique and least cost

Presently trained people by conducting refresher courses(Like QMS,OHSE EMS,NDT,WELDING etc) through our HR
