Summary
My current position is Dyslexia Interventionist for the Lakeside Public School District located in Lake Village, Arkansas. I have been teaching in this district for twenty years. My certifications are listed in the professional experience section on the next page. Currently I am working on a new certification as a Dyslexia Specialist that will be completed in May 2016. I have the qualification to administer tests to students that are having difficulty in reading. When children have been identified as having characteristics of dyslexia or dyslexic, I provide direct interventions to help the children learn necessary skills to become proficient in reading. The program I am currently using is Rite Flight which was created by The Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children located in Dallas, TX.
