WORK EXPERIENCE:

Intern - SunEdison Frontier Power from Jan 2016 till date.

SunEdison Frontier Power offers best-in-class mini-grids solutions for rural markets. I am part of Technology and Systems Engineering Group which designs and evaluates components for mini-grid design.

Roles and responsibilities:

Provide technical solutions for designing optimal system layout.

Creating concept drawings and detailing for structures, battery room layouts.

Vendor evaluation for sourcing structural components.

Skill sets / tools utilized: AutoCAD, SketchUp, SunDat (A software plugin developed by SunEdison that enables automated design and optimization of photovoltaic systems.)

Intern - SunEdison Research Pvt. Ltd. from July 2015 to December 2016.

SunEdison manufactures advanced solar technology and develops, finances, installs and operates distributed solar power systems. I was a part structures charter at Bangalore Research and development team which provides solar structural solutions at the lowest installed cost.

Roles and responsibilities:

Sustaining engineering, Knowhow development for new product development activities for solar structures.

Co Ordaining with team members and providing all necessary technical assistance for new product development.

Development of in-house test setups for product testing and certification.

Skill sets / tools utilized: SolidWorks, SketchUp, AutoCAD, MS-Excel, 3D Pinter.

Technologist – Indian Institute of Science from July 2012 to August 2014.

Micro and Nano Characterization Facility (MNCF) at in Centre for Nano Science and Engineering (CeNSE), Located at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Offer state of the art cutting edge characterization facilities and services on Electrical, Mechanical, Optical and Material Characterization.

Roles and responsibilities:

Provided Technical and Analytical solutions for Industries and Academicians with overall characterization.

Conducted Periodic hands on training programs.

In-house developed low cost analytical instruments, new applications.

Interaction with clients and vendors for gathering requirements, assuring quality and issue resolution.

Mentoring other team members on technical aspects and improvements regarding the facilities available in our environment

M.Tech in Manufacturing Science and Engineering (Pursuing), from Bangalore Institute of Technology, Bangalore. Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) securing 76.4%.

B.E in Industrial and Production Engineering from Malnad College of Engineering (MCE) Hassan, Karnataka. Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) in 2012 with CGPA 8.68 (79.3%).

Pre University Certification from Sri Venkateshwara Pre university college, Hassan, Karnataka. Under Department of Pre-University Education in 2008 with 71.83%.

PROJECTS:

Metal roof racking products evaluation for trapezoidal metal roof profile – sustaining engineering approach. A project at SunEdison.

This project aims at evaluating different solutions available in market for mounting solar modules on sloped metal roof buildings. The products have been evaluated over various design criteria as well installation parameters.

Optimization of Packing Process and Warehouse at HIMATSINGKA LINENS, Hassan.

This project aims at understanding the present system of packing and warehouse, identifying the problem areas and finding the plausible solution to optimize the process.
