Project and Operation Experience

Coke Oven

Roles & Responsibilities

Manpower planning for production, maintenance for Coke Oven Operation in material handling area.

Production planning of coal with RMPP.

Preparation of coal blending as per quality requirement.

Production planning of BF coke, Nut coke and breeze with the Blast Furnace, and Sinter Pant.

Shutdown maintenance planning with maintenance department (To avoid breakdown maintenances).

Technical discussion with Foreigners for installation of all types of equipment. For ex: - Hammer Crusher, Coke Cutter, Conveyor system, Vibrator, Weigh feeder system for Technical Material handling area.

Discussion with senior for the modification (if required) and proper installation of equipments of Coke Ovens as per drawings.

Roles & Responsibilities

Process Engineer in Batteries, work involves maintaining heating regime of heating walls and schedule preparation charging and pushing in ovens.

Maintenance Work of Cellar and maintenance of Hydraulic Heat Exchanger and pipe line maintenance.

Regulation of up going air and down coming waste gases for heating wall.

Worked while commissioning of batteries

Worked in emergency situation like

oEmergency changeover of Coke oven gas to Blast furnace gas.
