Client : Nippon Paints

Duration : December 2013 to December 2014

Role : SAP ABAP Developer

Client Description:Nippon paints, Malaysia basically a paints manufacturing company. It manufactures paints, coatings and surface treatments. This project involved extensive implementation of SAP HR, FI, SD, PP and MM modules to improve the functionality and usability of the processes. The whole project involves Reporting, BDC, Ale Idocs and SAP Scripts.

Responsibilities:

• Nippon Paints project is an implementation & support project, most of the objects are SAP Reports, interfaces, and conversion programs for transfer of data from legacy to SAP systems.

• Understanding the business processes in the existing legacy system and discuss/analyze and mapping the requirements into SAP ABAP.

• Used tools such as SQL Trace (ST05), Runtime Analysis (SE30) to improve performance of coding.

• Maintain ALE configurations.

Reports:

• Developed a report to display all material rates by using material number, sales organization and distribution channel and condition type.

• Generated a report to know the Non-Moving materials in a particular period for a particular plant and storage location

• Generated a report in Material Master that outputs material vaulted stock grouped by Material type and Plant

• Created a report for plant wise monthly sales details. This report shows the summation of entire basic price, sales tax, etc under different columns

BDC :

• Developed a bdc program for uploading schedule agreement data

ALE/ IDoc's :

• Worked on designing ALE/IDOC interfaces for various systems to facilitate data transfer. The application areas include MM and SD. Testing of inbound and outbound process while dispatching IDOC'S from one system to another system. Distributed customer master and material master data pertaining to particular plant/company code across multiple R/3 systems using filter object type.

• Configured SAP for ALE/IDoc processing. Logical systems were created for each client in an SAP instance, and each client was assigned a logical system. Definition of the Distribution Model, Ports, RFC destinations and Partner Profiles were set up.

SAP Scripts:

• Worked on SAP Script Modification for Sales Order, Delivery& Invoice along with their Driver Programs.

Client : VST Industries Ltd

Role : SAP ABAP Consultant.

Duration : 2015 January to till date.

Description: VST Industries is an 80 Years old Cigarette Manufacturing company with GMP standards. It has implemented SAP in the year of 2001. They have implemented all Functional Modules like FI/CO, MM, SD, PP and PM.

Responsibilities:

• As a technical ABAP Consultant, I have participated in development of user defined reports in MM and SD modules using various ABAP/4 development workbench tools.

• Transferred data from legacy systems to SAP R/3 using Batch Data Communications.

• Modified standard layouts with SAP Script.

• Used tools such as SQL Trace (ST05), Runtime Analysis (SE30) to improve performance of coding.

Reports:

• Developed a report Inventory Transaction which shows prior transactions from history to enable the user to do quality checks (I.e. check correctness of put way, inventory moves, etc.) show lost, scrapped, etc.

• Developed a report that displays Customer-wise Sales document details.

• Developed a Vendor Payment Plan report. Vendor Payment can be scheduled output of this Report to schedule vendor payment as per giving period of time

• Generated ALV Report for Cancelled Sales Orders.

BDC:

• Developed a BDC program to upload the material master data from legacy system to SAP R/3 using flat file.

• Developed a BDC program to upload Customer master data from legacy system to SAP R/3 database. This involves recording the transaction - XD01.

Sap scripts:

• Worked on SAP Script Modification for Sales Order along with the Driver program.

• Involved in changing the existing SAP script layouts for Delivery Note. Print program was modified to add additional logic.

ALE/ IDoc's:

• Analyzed business requirements and documentation to design ALE solutions.

• Involved in setting up the logical systems and in creation of distribution model.

• Created port definitions and RFC destinations.

• Involved in ALE configuration for the message types (MATMAS)

• Distributed material master and vendor master data across multiple R/3 systems.

Workflow:

• Created Workflow for Material Master (MM01)

When a new Material master record is created Workflow is triggered and notification is sent to purchase department.
