THE M K MORSE COMPANY, Canton, Ohio 2008 to 2016 A world leader in metal cutting saw blade technology.

● Departmental Supervisor (2012-2016) for primary steel operations (screw machines and CNC cells), secondary steel operations ( a host of manual, PLC, frequency drive controlled and CNC machines) and arbor assembly for power tool accessories. Also included is tool room operations for prototypes and shop support for approximately 1-1/2 years.

● Afternoon Shift Supervisor (2008-2016) Supervised up to 34 employees and responsible for production, counseling, coaching, motivating and disciplining employees in the composite strip (electron beam & laser welding), rolling mills, band milling, carbide tipped bands, tool room and circular saw departments on the afternoon shift.

● Collateral Duties included performing general wage increases, annual performance reviews, monthly employee specific efficiency reports, monthly plant wide housekeeping reports, alternate environmental coordinator, 5S audits, gemba (‘go see’ value stream) walks, safety walks and various hour by hour board reviews and sign offs.

BOSCH REXROTH CORPORATION (Mobile Hydraulics Div.), Wooster, Ohio 1998 to 2007 A global provider of a complete range of best-in-class products, systems and services for drive, control and motion technologies.

● Maintenance / Tool Room / Tool Crib Supervisor (2003-2007) responsible for up to 34 hourly employees maintaining all plant utilities, machinery, jigs, fixtures, and requisitions and works authorities of all consumable tooling and repair parts. Worked directly with the Plant Engineer in establishing a TPM (Total Production Maintenance) program to significantly decrease production equipment downtime. Environmental Coordinator Alternate.

● Production (Departmental) Supervisor (1998 to 2003) provided leadership and direction for up to 42 employees in the primary steel (various manual and CNC turning and milling machines), Gear Cutting, Hard Chrome Plating, Precision Grinding, Heat Treat and Deburring departments.

● Second Shift Foreman- Managed entire facility and supervised up to 23 employees. Responsibilities included coordinating and supervising contract machine, rock drill, Kent demolition, and mold division machining in a multi-building facility on the afternoon shift.

● Second Shift Working Foreman set up, programmed and ran multiple CNC turning and machining centers while supervising 8 employees. 1991 Employee of the Year.

● Machinery Repairman First Class (MR1-SW) Most often the only machinist onboard floating commands responsible for the manufacturing of any needed repair parts. Several awards and letters of achievement and appreciation for successful repairs under stressful and/or emergency conditions thereby allowing the command to meet its operational goals. Responsible for up to 75 crewmen during damage control and firefighting situations and 24 crewmen under normal work routine.
