Position: Fuels operator

Duties and Responsibilities

• Refueling of aircraft

• Ensure the aircraft and refueling nozzle is earthed and bonded prior to the commencement of refueling.

• Earth the aircraft prior to the nozzle attendant connecting.

• Prepare samples in compliance issued and received on the required documentation.

• Make sure all safety measures are in place before doing any task.

• Conduct refueling vehicle daily inspections to ensure that the vehicle meets all operation requirements and report inconsistencies to the supervisor.

• Immediately stop refueling if an inconsistency is identified.

• Provide first aid in case of emergency.

• Conduct end of day fuel reconciliation checks.

• Ensure daylight inspection of hoses and equipment is conducted immediately prior to last light before refueling operation commence.

• Ensure that the aircraft fuel cap is secure and that all earthling leads and bonding cable have been removed from the aircraft when refueling is completed.

• Daily reporting of sales.

• Daily checklist of fuels and jet oils
