North Texas Distillers - Fort Worth, Texas 2013 - Present Vice President of Operations

Small Start up Company / Distillery (12 employees) with annual sales of 4 Million. Blend and Bottle for private label brands and a few of of our own labels. Most volume blends are Bourbon and Vodkas and a few flavored Bourbons and Vodkas. Brands include 1835 Bourbon Whiskey and 1835 Lone Star Vodka.

• Designed and set up the Control Room (blending operation) to match the needed Bottling Line requirements for a steady balance of inputs to outputs.

• Hired and trained workers on line balancing and Kan Ban theory. Set up a Gold Standard Quality System to review quality control in process. ABBOTT LABORATORIES - Irving, Texas 1987 - 2011

Clinical Chemistry Project Management 2003 - 2011

Supported the assay menu expansion on Architect cSystems & AEROSET, Clinical Chemistry instrumentation.

• Interfaced with Abbott Park Headquarters for new assay/reagent List Number assignment and set up of required fields for integration into the order entry system – Abbott Materials Management (AMM). The updates and postings came directly from project updates on assay parameters, including assay kit size and storage/shipping conditions.

• Took the reagent assay menu on the existing predicate devise AEROSET analyzer and performing equivalency studies with new FDA submissions to align new testing parameters for cSystems (c8000, c16000 & c4000) analyzers.

• Created Project Time Lines, managed team meetings and acted as key interface with cross functional work teams on deliverables to complete phase activities on time.

• Conducted conference calls between the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and the Bulk Suppliers of the raw reagent, facilitating weekly updates on the assay development.

• Communicated weekly updates to core and cross functional team members, including quarterly updates to Senior Management, on all open projects to keep everyone well informed.

• Administrator at the Abbott Dallas site for the Time Track/Clarity software for the Clinical Chemistry business unit. These systems tracked the resource hours for all Clinical Chemistry projects downloading into Abbott’s Divisional Headquarters central database.

• Received Vice President’s award for the c4000 menu completion in November 2010.

• Mentored other PMs on Microsoft Project software (Pro Chain) tool, working/supporting the Abbott Dallas site’s Project Management Office (PMO). PCB Supervisor / Project Manager, Printed Circuit Board Shop 1998 - 2003

• Supervised 1st shift employees and managed projects for the PCB Shop, including the ESD Data Logger Project and the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) set up to increase productivity by component feeder reel placement.

Production Supervision 1990 - 1998

• Supervised the Build, Test and Kit Pack of the AxSym Instrument, catalogue subassemblies and accessories as the AxSym Supervisor. Moved AxSym Accessories to a central site accessory area in a “Product to Process” initiative in 1997.

• Directed the build of subassemblies and instruments, including the support of Test and Catalogue queues as the X-Systems Supervisor. Core Team member for LCx, supervised ADx, TDx, IMx, and TDx/FLx assembly build. Key contributor to the Level 1 Refurb operation.

• Managed the X-Systems subassembly catalogue build and inventory queue. Assisted Field Service areas with returns for parts and instrument replacements. Supervised the Product Complaint Analysis (PCA) area for X-Systems Instrument complaints. Materials / Supply Chain Supervisor (prior to “Just in Time” processing) 1987 - 1990

• Coordinated Work Order deliveries for key manufacturing areas including Spectrum, Commander, Quik Wash, X-Systems and LC-4 Reagent Manufacturing. Assisted with the change in manufacturing planning from a “Work Order” to “Just in Time” manufacturing materials procurement methodology.
