AREA OF EXPERTISE

Conducts cold calls on engineering and chemical companies to promote the use of fiberglass reinforced plastics(FRP). Makes recommendations for resins to replace corroded iron and steel, such as tanks, pipes, and other products with FRP. Conducts seminars for engineers, scientists, and end users personnel on the fabrication and merits of FRP versus conventional materials.

Convinced numerous companies to include our resins in their specifications.

EXPERIENCE

Corrosion Consultant, Southwest Fiberglass(2008-mid 2015) Supported the company in their efforts to expand their business into the electrical power industry by creating relationships between Southwest and my contacts within the industry. I arranged meetings with engineering companies. Due to the recession and changes in the coal powered electrical generating industry, all efforts were put on hold.

Corrosion Consultant, Alpha Owens Corning(AOC)(2001-2007) Persuaded engineers and manufacturers to specify AOC products in their engineering designs and manufacturing plants. I educated them in the use of fiberglass tanks, duct, and piping to replace rusting iron and steel. I convinced numerous companies to include AOC resins in their specifications. companies have included AOC resins in their specifications.

Corrosion Consultant, Amoco Chemicals(1997-2000) Responsible for developing technical application brochures for Amoco's Chemical Intermediates product lines.

Corrosion Consultant, Ashland Chemical Company (1993-1996) Responsible for developing sales of resins for corrosion resistant applications replacing corroded iron and steel. I Converted numerous companies to Ashland resins.

Director, Chemical Intermediates Applications Division, Amoco Chemicals.

Responsible for developing applications for Amoco’s chemical products, as well as solving customer problems working with these products. Major emphasis was developing applications for these products in coatings and unsaturated polyesters. Had a staff of 64 chemists, engineers, and technicians with a budget of $6 million dollars.
