Profile:
My background is characterized by a high degree of creativity, teamwork, innovation and well-developed analytical skills. The last twenty years I have served as a supervisor. My duties included the coordination and supervision of day to day activities for the skilled trades personnel in two manufacturing plants. This included scheduling, inspecting, ordering products, and assessing what was needed to get the job done right while planning for the future.
Started as Mechanical designer duties included the design, layout and installation
of machinery, processes and automatic production lines.
Engineering Technician, responsible for keeping production running, solving
problems in the area of manufacturing operations. Dealt with routings, tooling
and machinery. Act as a project leader to acquire expense and capital monies on
given projects.
As Machine Rebuild Coordinator, responsible for the rebuild of machines, presses and development of continuous improvement of the production equipment.
Achievements:
a) As Maintenance Supervisor experienced a major restructuring with
25% cut back in office & plant support needed to stay competitive.
b) Prioritizing of preventative maintenance program increased uptime by 10 percent.
c) Project on utility usage resulted in a 14% percent yearly savings.
d) Consistently under yearly building/grounds, maintenance and project budgets.
e) Continually made departmental and plant safety goals.
f) Planned with engineers resources needed for successful completion of projects.
Specific Duties:
1. Supervisors the activities of and assigns work to maintenance personnel.
2. Directs and addresses training needed for apprentices, mechanics and electricians.
3. Supervises repair, maintaining, the maintenance of equipment and facility.
4. Directs maintenance programs which support, reinforce and supplement the plant’s safety program.
5. Maintains inventories of repair parts and orders materials as necessary.
6. Provides estimates of time and cost (Kaizen) of maintenance repairs and projects.
7. Assists in the design, development and installation of new equipment and concepts.
8. Maintains engineering computer records and files.
