Staff Attorney, Assigned to Judge Aaron Mason’s Courtroom. Conducted three solo jury trials and second chaired two more. Successfully defended clients on all three. Draft, research, and conduct motions to suppress and grant immunity for the courtroom. Defend clients against numerous motions filed by the state. Prepare inter-office memorandum on evidence issues. Handle caseloads of up seventy new cases per month. Represent clients in the courtroom every day of the week. Conduct and defend clients in preliminary hearings. Negotiate with prosecutors on a daily basis regarding plea deals, dismissals, and alternative solutions to cases other than trial.

Chief Liaison to Clayton County Indigent Defense Office, interact daily with indigent defense office, monitor all clients appointed to the firm by indigent defense office, distribute all cases assigned to the firm to fellow attorneys at the firm. Supervise and make sure all indigent client’s constitutional requirements are met. Visit all assigned clients who do not speak English. Supervise two attorneys who retrieve all indigent defense applications. Log and make sure all applications are on record with the indigent defense office and with firm.

Apprentice Assistant District Attorney, Aid with trial preparation, including writing motions in limine, evidence motions, and other pretrial motions. Conducted multiple grand jury indictments.
