OIL &GAS

Enbridge Pipeline Inc. [March 2014-June 30 2015]

At Enbridge pipeline Inc. as a Project Material Inspection Coordinator in Supply chain management department for its midstream facilities in major projects on its main line expansion projects. Since last one year I am worked on Sunday creek terminal expansion project [Rail & Renewable division]. As a PMIC following are my prime responsibilities.

Review of the ITPs of the vendors and correcting them in line with the requirements laid down in MR.

Assessment of third party inspection agencies based on their area of activity and expertise and approving them for the third party inspection source for project material inspection.

Reviewing the resumes of the inspectors for selecting suitably experienced and qualified inspectors for various tasks depending upon their suitability.

Deploying the inspectors in time in order to maintain the project schedules.

Reviewing the inspection reports submitted by the inspectors and approving them for shipping release if found in line with the requirements.

Visiting vendor premises for witnessing factory acceptance tests and supporting quality surveillance activities.

Review, acceptance and sign off of turnover binders prepared by vendors for facility construction products like E-House and other skid based integrated products and final vendor data books.

Review of contractors RFIs directed to Enbridge on any QA QC issues and answering QA QC related RFIs.

Providing technical support to site commissioning and start up personnel.

Issuing NCR to vendors in case of any non-conformance with specification or standard.

Coordinating the punch lists with the vendor and getting the deficiencies fixed in time.

Settling technical issues of the third party inspection agencies and answering their technical queries.

Approving the invoices of the third party agencies and creating work order requests for TPI agencies and NDT agencies.

URS Flint [QA QC Coordinator] July 2011 – September 2013

I Worked with URS Flint as a QA QC Coordinator for more than 2 years on following projects.

[1] MEG Energy Project -Conklin from November 2011to September 2013.

[2] Suncor’s fire-bag project from July 2011-October 2011.

Being a QA QC Engineer my prime duties was to translate the quality requirements of clients and employing company in to the real action by various departments and sub vendors who participated in projects. Following functions for Mechanical/Piping/Electrical and Instrumentation in construction activities were among my prime activities.

Studying the construction quality plan of client and prepare project quality plan PQP.

Prepare multi-disciplinary [Piping, E&I, Civil & Mechanical] ITPs in conjunction with construction and got the client approval.

Got ITRs organized system vise for turnover activity.

Prepare internal quality audit plan in line with client’s quality plan and performed audit in order to establish and monitor the various construction procedures.

Reviewing the ITPs of vendors and auditing them periodically to upkeep their quality procedures and creating audit reports for their actions.

Establishing QC reporting system with respect to Project Management.

Preparing reports like corrective action report [CAR] and Preventive action report [PAR]

Updating and monitoring QA related logs like Calibration log, CAR and PAR and following up with concerned for process correction and up keeping.

Keeping track of lesson learnt on logs and advising construction groups on it.

Monitoring various QC related LOGs like RFI, NCR, FCN, FCR, ECN, and DCN etc.

Supervised group of red liners preparing the red line drawings and as built record. Also overviewed the weld mapping of the construction drawings.

Tracking and monitoring key performance indicators by creating related reports.

Organizing system walk down for Piping / Electrical installations with client.

Studying EWPs and helping in preparing FIWP packages for construction.

Around three plus years I worked as electrician with local union IBEW 424. I worked through companies like PCL Intracon, CASCA Electrical etc.

I worked in quality control at various oil and gas plants facilities in Alberta like Suncor, Syncrude, CNRL, Petro Canada and Shell located in Alberta at various locations like Fort McMurray, Edmonton- Fort Saskatchewan. I performed following functions of the QC.

Performing surveillance of construction activities with respect to company procedure and issuance of CSR and maintaining its log in the system.

Performed analysis of the construction damages incurred due to un foreseen reasons and submitted reports leading to the root causes of it and the details of damage in terms of CDRs.

Location inspection of instruments / power points, Junction boxes, Splice boxes RTDs and any type of electrical installation.

Performing the tests like continuity for cables, Insulation resistance test [Meager test] for cables and Electrical heat trace [MI and SR] and bump test for the motors.

Performed HV tests like power frequency test and VLF tests on cables for insulation inspection.
