Responsible for set up, operation and maintenance of a wide variety of production equipment and printing presses within the printing and packaging division. Also; responsible for printing presses to get print by installing and adjusting the printing plate, inking the presses, adjusting pressure, loading the paper and by adjusting the press to proper dimensions of the paper. Ability to utilize reference materials, blueprints and machine schematics to troubleshoot machine problems such as paper jams to avoid excessive downtime. Set up machines for printing runs to close tolerance specifications. Performed changeovers. Handled start up and shut down of machines. Inspected all products to ensure quality products were produced. Was called upon to train new employees on operation and safety standards. Left due to workforce reduction and plant closing.
