SUMMARY

Over 20 years of experience in avionics software design, development and certification.

Strong expertise in data post-processing and embedded software solution development experience. Especially with aircraft test rig data acquisition systems (DAS) such as: CAE Electronics ITE, TTTECH Time Trigger Protocol systems and Rockwell Colin AFDX-ARINC 664 protocol systems.

Theoretical and practical knowledge of formal software development processes, software project management practices such as RTCA/DO-178B, Agile Software development (SCRUM) and Critical Chain.

Extensive integration experience with diverse avionics sensors, navigation, guidance and simulation systems.

Proven efficient problem solver with challenging software issues in the area of data processing, embedded avionics software and hardware integration. EXPERIENCE

BOMBARDIER AEROSPACE, Montreal, Quebec 2013 – Present Test Preparation Lead (C-series and Global 7000 ISTCR)

Develop software data management solutions for all test rig data acquisition systems: real time data monitoring, data recording and post-test data processing.

Perform all DASs and software tools validation for certification testing and write technical reports

Write test procedures and test cards for on rig testing.

Manage online data request system for test rig clients. ESTERLINE CMC ELECTRONICS, Montreal, Quebec 1997 – 2012 Senior Flight Management System (FMS) Engineer (2007 – 2012)

Solve technical issues originated from various test sources: airborne flight tests, on ground system tests on full motion simulators and customer field tests in radio systems, sensor interfaces, control display units (CDU), lateral and vertical flight planning, and guidance subsystems.

Provide timely software work estimates to Product Manager for new project bids.

Plan and deliver FMS software fixes within the Agile software development SCRUM framework (i.e. with emphasis on light weight development plan – requirement management, design, code, test, peer reviews and traceability according to RTCA/DO-178B document with software release within a short development iteration cycle).

Provide key support to other projects within the FMS department in the expertise areas: radio system

(e.g. transponders, VHFs, VUHFs), navigation sensors interfaces (e.g. GPS, Inertial, hybrid GPS and Inertial sensor), navigation systems, sensor integrity monitoring and sensor simulation for testing (e.g. VOR/DME, DME/DME, and embedded GPS/INS system).

FMS Engineer (2004 – 2007)

Provide key technical assistance to off-site projects: CP140 Aurora aircraft incremental Modernization Project and Maritime Helicopter Project on FMS software functionalities, such as, lateral flight planning, navigation, guidance and sensor interface subsystems. Contributed to the overall success of the system test development.

Software Technical Lead (2002 – 2004)

Lead a team of 15 engineers on helicopter FMS software project for European customer

(EUROCPTER France). Recognized with CMC BRAVO Awards for on time and on budget software delivery.

Software Engineer – Sensor Specialist (2000 – 2002)

Deliver new navigation management system with sensor integrity monitoring for EUROCOPTER FMS program (CMC CMA-3000 FMS). Successfully led test team in software validation and software releases.

Software Engineer (1997 – 2000)

Deliver software for radio management and radio navigation subsystem for Helicopter FMS platform

(CMC CMA-3000 FMS).

CAE ELECTRONICS, Montreal, Quebec 1994 – 1997

Air Traffic Control (ATC) Software Engineer

Contribute to the successful delivery of Flight Trip Planning and Processing subsystems for Oceanic Air Traffic Control (ATC) System. Developed radar simulation software for testing with the Oceanic ATC.

ROYAL MILITARY COLLEGE

AND DEFENSE RESEARCH ESTABLISHMENT ATLANTIC, Kingston, Ontario 1989 – 1994 Research Engineer

Perform advanced research on underwater target tracking systems with towed array acoustic sensors. Develop algorithms and publish research results for tracking multiple underwater targets in a cluttered environment in technical journal.
